About Baraca
Baraca is an international real estate investment and development group operating across Dubai, Bali and South Lombok. Through Baraca Development, we design and deliver high end villa developments, residential projects and hospitality destinations for international investors. We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to design and oversee the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems of our projects.

The Role
You will be responsible for all MEP systems across our developments, from design and calculations through to installation, testing and handover. You will work closely with our architects, structural engineers and contractors on projects ranging from private villas to villa clusters, apartment buildings and resort facilities. Many of our sites are in remote coastal areas, so reliable, efficient and sustainable systems are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, lightning protection and backup generators
• Design plumbing systems, including clean water supply, hot water, drainage and wastewater
• Design HVAC and ventilation systems suited to a tropical climate
• Design site utilities for larger developments, including PLN connections, water sources, water treatment, sewage treatment plants (STP) and rainwater harvesting
• Design swimming pool systems, including filtration, pumps and circulation
• Integrate solar PV, energy efficient and water saving solutions where feasible
• Design fire protection, low voltage and smart home systems (CCTV, internet, access control)
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian standards, including PUIL for electrical installations and SNI 8153 for plumbing
• Prepare MEP drawings, specifications, calculations and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
• Review contractor shop drawings and material submissions
• Supervise installation on site, carry out testing and commissioning, and support SLF permit applications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (S1 Teknik Mesin or Teknik Elektro)
• Valid SKK (Sertifikat Kompetensi Kerja) in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in MEP design and supervision
• Clear track record of completed residential and hospitality projects such as villa clusters, resorts, hotels or apartment buildings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Experience with calculation software such as DIALux, HAP or similar HVAC load tools, and electrical design tools such as ETAP
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for calculations and cost estimates
• Hands on site experience managing MEP contractors and installers
• Able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience in Bali or Lombok, including remote sites with limited infrastructure
• Experience with off grid or hybrid solar systems and battery storage
• Knowledge of water treatment, desalination or borehole systems
• Experience with hotel or resort back of house systems
• Experience with BIM workflows
