Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Remote Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper at Litebooks. As a Remote Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping services to our clients using Xero. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing fortnightly payroll and ensuring compliance with Australian financial regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper
  • Speak fluent English
  • Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus

Essential Requirements

  • MUST have High-level English communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in a concise, professional, and responsive
  • Must live in the JABODETABEK area
  • Must be comfortable with working from home and have the environment for it
  • Have experience with Xero for at least 1 year
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the full Microsoft suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively

Role responsibilities

  • Reconcile transactions in Xero accounting software
  • Process fortnightly payroll
  • Manage accounts payable function
  • Generate payment run
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices with clients
  • Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet review
  • Quarterly BAS preparation
  • Assist in EOFY return
  • Improve current processes for efficiency
  • Raise invoices to Debtors
  • Maintain digital filing
  • Other Ad-Hoc tasks as required
