About Soundbeats

Soundbeats is a precision rhythm-combat mobile game where players fight through music — attacking enemies in sync with each beat. Built on a sci-fi world (Resonara) with lane-based combat, character abilities, and player-created BeatMaps; this is a skill-driven rhythm game, not a generic tapper.

In parallel, we are building a generative AI consumer tool — still in early ideation — that sits at the intersection of creativity, music, and AI. The marketing and product feedback loop for this is as important as the tool itself; we need someone who can move fast between what we are building and what the market responds to.

We are backed by Cyberport and the Hong Kong government.

Why This Role Exists

The game is built, live, and go-to-market ready. We now need a Growth & Product Lead who owns two things simultaneously: driving revenue and player growth for the game, and shaping what we build next — for both the game and the AI creator tool.

This person is not just running ads. They are the bridge between the market and the dev team — translating player behavior, data, and competitive insight into product decisions, feature priorities, and monetization strategy. The game dev team takes product direction from this role.

What You Will Own

Game Growth, Marketing & Monetization (~60%)

  • Own UA end-to-end: Meta (Facebook/Instagram) as primary channel — targeting, creative testing, budget allocation, and scaling what works
  • Own monetization strategy: IAP pricing, offer design, conversion funnels, and revenue optimization — with a clear view on LTV and ROAS
  • Own App Store and Google Play assets: copy, screenshots, preview videos — iterate for conversion
  • Track and own core metrics: CPI, CTR, D1/D7/D30 retention, IAP conversion, ARPU — make decisions from data, not opinions
  • Get hands dirty on ad creatives: brief, direct, and produce video and static ads yourself when needed, and grow a creative function as the team scales
  • Act as the voice of the player internally — feed market data, player feedback, and behavioral insights back to the dev team to inform feature priorities and product direction
  • Define and prioritize product features alongside the founder, with monetization and retention impact as the primary filter
  • Stay active as a gamer; track genre and visual trends across rhythm, action, and midcore titles

AI Creator Tool Experimentation (~40%)

  • Define positioning and target audience for the generative AI creator tool as it takes shape
  • Run a tight ship–measure–learn loop: define hypotheses, ship campaigns and flows, read creator behavior, and decide what to double down on or kill
  • Work closely with the founder on what to build and experiment with next — the feedback loop between market and product is the job
  • Target creators, AI-curious users, and music/audio communities — not just game players

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

  • Fluent in English — written and spoken; you will be communicating with a global team, candidates, and partners
  • Mid-senior experience in mobile game growth, product marketing, or a hybrid of both — you have owned a product and grown it
  • Strong monetization instincts: you have designed or optimized IAP funnels, pricing, or offer mechanics and can show results
  • Proven Meta Ads track record for mobile games — you know targeting, creative structure, and how to scale
  • Comfortable directing and producing ad creatives hands-on: you can brief a designer or shoot/edit yourself
  • Data-driven: you live in Firebase, GameAnalytics, or equivalent — and you translate what you see into product and marketing decisions
  • Comfortable being an early team member: you set the strategy and execute it yourself, then build the team around you
  • Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.) as a standard part of your workflow

Nice to Have

  • Experience with consumer generative AI products (music, audio, image, or content creation)
  • Experience with rhythm, music, or skill-based game communities
  • ASO experience; Discord, TikTok, or YouTube community building for games

  • The dev team is building features that move growth metrics, not features that feel good
  • Monetization is structured, tested, and scaling — not an afterthought

  • You are growing a small team around you within 12 months
